Registration instruction for Wednesday Meditation

Dear Dharma Friends,

How are you?

From the coming fall semester 2006,
Okhee will hold the Zen Meditatioin workshop offered by department of Wellness Education.

All students, faculties, staffs, and WNY community members are welcome by registering it.

This class will meet Wednesdays, 9/13 - 12/6, 5:00-6:30 p.m (with the exception of 11/22).

Come practice Zen meditation.

Learn and experience the benefits (stress reduction, mental clarity, and more) of practicing meditation on a regular basis among a supportive group.
Dress comfortably. Open to all backgrounds. RHA, WES & UB Buddhist Student Association

For registration,

1) go to the Wellness Education, or
directly http://www.student-affairs.buffalo.edu/shs/lwc/lworkshops.shtml

2) find the "Meditatioin" by scrolling down and click "registration site".

3) Follow the instructions and enter "On Going Wellness and Recreation" in the subject categories.

4) For registration for meditation class, you just fill in the brief information of your name and address.

Registering this class will grant UB Zen Buddhist Association significant benefits like avertizing our group to other students with no effort.

Attendants for the Interfaith Service with Dalai Lama

How are you?
At the end of the last week, I finalized the application for the Interfaith Service with Dalai Lama.

Upon receiving the tickets, I will inform of how to pick up and pay for the tickets.

It must be a great and rare opportunity to have the Service with Dalai Lama.

Sitting Schedule for August

How are you on Summer Vacation?The sitting schedule for August 06 is as following.

August 5, 12:00-3:00 p.m. Outdoor Sitting at Baird Point, North Campus.
August 12, 12:00-3:00 p.m. Community Hall at Flint Village

-August 5, after finishing the session around 2 p.m, we will have small snack party to see off Jonanthan to California. Jonathan did great jobs for our group by setting up our new homepage and completing all major jobs such as Juckbi master and Mock master.
I hope that he will achieve all he wants to do in California.

- Last June and July, we have many new members. Congraturations to join our club.

-Zen meditation is to ultimately aim to remove all our own thinkings and habits such as an ego, a personality, a being and a life.

-If you have some particular problems on the meditation posture, please inform us of it. For example, if you have certain backpains, you may just nod your head during bowing. There are various exceptions on the meditatioin postures.
