Summer Sitting in Other Traditions of Zen
Dear Friends,
During the Summer, you may sit in any type of Zen group around your resident place.
You may find several Zen groups around Buffalo in our homepage.
Their traditions are quite different on their features and forms.
But in a broad context, the essence should be the same.
The students of Zen are, sometimes on purpose, willing to learn other traditions, other teachers and other religions.
We hope that you can experience other traditions of Zen and meet some Zen teachers in different traditions this summer.
The Zen Dharma Community is one of them.
Tuesday 7 p.m the sitting starts.
Dr. Jannet Ludwig, the professor at UB, is one of leaders of Zen Dharma Community.
She has been offering some Buddhism classes at UB and other school.
Okhee, Bill, Quynh, Katrina, Jin and other members are sitting there during the summer.
The sitting of the Zen Dharma Community is held at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Here is the best place to park and the only door to enter the church building at night:
Westminster Presbyterian Church is located on Delaware Avenue near Summer Street.
Next to the church, directly on the southwest corner of Summer and Delaware is the United Way building.
They have a parking lot behind their building that they share with the church.
Enter the United Way parking lot from Summer Street and park in the far corner, next to the rear of the church.
Walk through the gate in the fence that separates the parking from the church.
Turn right and take the first left, and the sidewalk will lead you to a glassed-in porch that is the Kitchen Entrance to the church building.
There is usually someone in the kitchen to direct people to where we are sitting tonight.
It will be the Parish Hall, which is on the second floor. If no one is there, just wait a moment and lots of people will be arriving, so it wont take long to get directions to the Parish Hall.

Have a pleasant summer.
