Sitting on Wednesday during the rest of Fall semester

Dear Dharma Friends,

How are you?
This season has a great meaning for the student of Zen Buddhism.

The Buddha's Enlightenment Day (Dec. 8) is coming soon. All Buddhist monestries are very busy to prepare the Yongmaengchungjin(no lying down, 24 hour sitting during one week from Dec. 1 - 8).

On our regular sitting schedules, we made some significnat changes.

From now on, we do the siting only on Wednesday 5-7 pm at the South Lake Village Community Hall during the rest of this fall semester.

I sincerely apologize for the cancellation on the Saturday sitting.
We have faced some difficulties making reservations and securing some meditation places.
Finally, Grace and Elise tried to help maintain the Saturday sitting.

In fact, we have unprecidented benefits from the UB.
This Wednesday sitting is offered by the Wellness Education Department at UB.
We are sponsoring the session led by Meditation teacher, Okhee.

This Zen Meditation session is open to all people of WNY communities. For next semester, we are trying to do Wednesday sitting from 5 to 8 pm.

It is free.

Occationally, we will hold special events on Weekend. This coming December, we will do a long day sitting on Buddha's Enlightenment Day.

I sincerely hope that all members will register for the Zen Meditation session through the internet (
http://workshops.buffalo.edu/).

For the long time, many dharma friends made a great contribution for the Saturday Sitting. Among them, special thanks should be given to Jae Seung, Ahn, Emily, Dzung, Quan, Guarionex, Jonathan, Niko, Grace, and Elise.

Joe L. wil announce all follow-up schedules every week.

See you on Wednesday
